Everyday Green Smoothie
I feel like green smoothies have a bad reputation. People always think they are going to taste bad but this really doesn’t have to be the case. Using the right ingredients they can taste amazing and its a great way to get extra greens into your diet. I really like to use raw spinach in my smoothies because it has a very mild flavor and with the other ingredients, you really can’t taste it. You can use other greens such as kale but they can be much harder to blend and have a stronger flavor. I may post more recipes in the future using other greens but for now, I want to try and make something everyone will enjoy. I also like to add almond butter to my smoothies to make them extra creamy and hemp seeds for added protein and omega-3!
This recipe is more of a snack than a complete breakfast so I would suggest drinking it alongside something else small so you don’t get hungry too quickly.
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 300ml Plant Milk (I like almond or oat)
- 50g Frozen Spinach
- 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
- 1 tbsp Almond Butter
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until everything is smooth and creamy.
- Top with extra hemp seeds and then its ready to drink and enjoy.
